The Axis of the Earth

Poetry The warmth of the sun on the left, the mysterious glow of the moon on the right, on backdrop of soft yellow and blue tinged sky, at the center a piece of Earth raised atop it a castle misted over with clouds. At the bottom a field of green with a girl walking towards the raised piece of Earth wearing white.

Take the light of the sun in the dark,
and the one that’s hidden shines back.

Without the moonshine,
the sun would not know
the darkness that shines for him.
Without his light
her moonlit beauty would remain ever lost..

That eternal dance across the sky
of one shining for the other
since time beginning..
is worth
spinning for.
